Mark, the insidious goat head is the ninja star of the plant world. They will stick to tires shoes and feet. The result of unknowingly stepping on them in bare feet is quite painful. but because they always found in clusters the result is never limited to one puncture. I have not known them to puncture the soles of a shoe. For tires, I always used some form of kevlar belted tire often with the edition of a Mr. Tuffy liner. Many riders in the desert SW also ride the heavier "thorn-proof" tubes. We would also buy our patches 50-100 at a time. rol through a patch without protection you will not end up with one puncture but many. I remember on one ride a friend of mine ended up with more than 20 holes, in each tire. ********************************* Do goatheads stick to tires, shoes and feet? Not sure what they are from the pictures. With the plan to ride in Colorado and being lucky in Wisconsin I thought I'd ask. .............................Will the goat heads aka puncture vine bother these tires? Thank you for your thoughts, -Mark Hoagy
