Yes, but maybe not all on the same set of wheels.    I went through 
four rear wheels during that time, but two might have been enough if 
one bike shop guy hadn't been an idiot.

That one has long gone out of business, for which the world of 
bicycling can be grateful.  I am fortunate to have decent bike shops 
nearby, and am trying to figure out which one to ask to put my new 
bike together.   Actually, I already mentioned it at one of them a 
few months ago.  The regular mechanic guy wasn't around, but the 
young man in charge tried to talk me out of buying a bike 
elsewhere.  He wanted to instead sell me a carbon fiber bike for 
touring.  RME.   The place has a decent shop, and it's the handiest 
one for me to get to, but that irritated me so much that I might 
instead go to the guy who sold me that Fuji back in 1996 (and one for 
my youngest son a few years later).    But I know I'll get an earful 
from him about how I should have done something other than get this 
BG bike.   He's pretty good, but very opinionated, and it's sometimes 
just too much.  Some local racers hang out at his shop, but he does 
know what a touring bike is.   Those aren't the only two to choose 
from, but I probably won't go further from home than those.
