Since gmail on my Android phone beeps almost instantly when new mail arrives
in my inbox, using such a filter to bypass the inbox is almost essential for
a reasonably high-frequency list like this one. Without the filter, my phone
would be beeping even more near-constantly than it already does due to work
emails.
