The sport box was one of two in the MkII Escort. Slightly heavier duty than the standard and slightly taller gears. I actually have one of each, doing nothing at the moment. I used the Sport one with my 1700 Crossflow w/o problems. I just wanted a cruise gear so fitted a Type 9. And this added quite a lot of weight... Sounds like the 'Sport box' Robin very good for free , but not very strong. Anything over 100 bhp and it don't like it, I had one in a Dutton once with a 1600 crossflow putting out about 125bhp. It lasted six months ! A very generous offer though.
