That's a good price - someone with the funds should be able to 
make some profit reselling it - not me, though :)

 You're right about the bone -> rod end parts - these are easy to 
make in the lathe for round-section tube, but gawd knows how 
you'd make them in elliptical section.

CNC'd from billet, said the catalogue, 25 dollars each, reasonable 
enough, but adds a lot to any project. I think I'll stick to foam 
trailing edges for a while yet :)
