Lean on the carb feeding those cylinders. Is it glowing at idle? Lots of things make the carbs go lean. If you can swap the two carbs and see what happens. You may have an air leak but it is difficult to have an air leak on a webber on both chokes. It appears something is amiss and I have no idea what. I suspect this is a long standing issue but am not sure. Does anyone have any advice on where I should start? Symptoms: Engine pops/spits sometime at about 3500 rpm. Seems to always be #3 or #4 #3 and #4 header tubes glow red (I suspect 3/4 are running much leaner than 1/2) Engine: Crossflow with a Kent 244 cam Carbs 40DCOE -151 Main Air 210 Emulsion Tube F16 Jet 120 Idle 45F9 Choke Tube 32 Aux Venturi 45 Pump Jet 45 -- Jim www.unibrain.org ------------------------------------------------- To manage your subscription options visit :- http://mailman.se7ens.net/mailman/listinfo/sevens
