Hummmm.... 944s2 or 250bhp post '89 turbo 968 are also very good, if still a bit pricey - some thing this series of Porkers where their best handling ones as the engine is in a sensible place. Should not be that expensive to run, although clutch and cam belt changes can hurt a bit, and the (alloy) brake calipers need to be kept clean and painted to avoid later greef.....
