Re: Engine oil drain valves any good?

I also have a Fumoto valve on my Subaru and have no complaints. Main
reason I went that route on the scooby was that Subaru uses an insanely
large drain plug. This caused two problems for me: 1) Couldn't find a
replacement drain plug gasket other than at the dealership or ordering
online (and I don't plan ahead that well). 2) The oil comes out of
the large drain plug faster than it goes down my combo funnel/drain
pan. This is both messy and results in burnt hands as you try to screw
the plug back in before the funnel overflows (getting nice hot oil on
your arm).

Hadn't considered one for the SV, but like others have mentioned, I'd be
a bit worried that the valve would be a nice weak point during a minor
drop/crash.
