I switched my dapter to 4.5 volts thinking if it fried the circuits it would be no big loss. But it seems to LIKE the 4.5 volts. So far is working as it should, i.e. turns on and off with the on off switch. I don't really have an available cig plug for the adapter on the bike so I am thinking about building a remote battery box with 3 1.5 AAs.
