Good points.

People (kids) can walk around the back of a van and will not

Oh yeah something to go with that old velvet cobra blacklight poster. :)

Er um, yeeaaahhhh, my, um, *friends*. Yeah, they just won't leave me alone.

Also, what's this "Haul your bike" crap? It has an engine, you know?

Ah well, I know you are kind of kidding. I have thought about riding to the
track, but, driving/riding in traffic pisses me off so much that that's just
not how I want to start a long day of riding. I would rather wake up and not
have a lot to do or think about. So my plan is to stay overnight at the
closest hotel to the track I can find. I'm trying to schedule my track days
on Sundays so I can lazily pack and travel on Saturdays.

Thanks for the thoughtful post.

Erik
