I wouldn't be without my Givi rack and case, and I don't think the bike looks bad either way. I rarely take the case off; it's just too convenient, and I've been caught a couple of times without it and wishing I had it with me. I didn't get the great big (52 liter?) case, because that one DOES look like you're being followed everywhere by a little UFO...but the smaller cases are just fine (and I don't generally need to be able to stow two helmets, anyway). The only thing I don't have on mine yet is the light kit, which would make me feel better about this whole set-up - the rack does hang out a bit over the taillight, and makes me wonder if it's all that visible.
