Thanks, everyone, for the warm welcome.

Someone asked, and I forgot to mention it before, but I bought an '05
blue. Got quite a deal on it too, so I'm very pleased.

And I'm definitely going to take the safety foundation course
(especially since doing so let's me forego an official road test AND
will give me an insurance drop).

I also just signed up for lessons with a local riding school, so
hopefully I'll be good to go once the spring hits. I can't wait.
