I have noticed that with the SV, adding any *significant* HP costs LOTS of money. Swapping the factory exhaust out for something in titanium or carbon fiber doesn't gain much HP at all but the weight reduction is significant. I was cleaning my garage over the weekend and moved my factory SV exhaust around, I was once again shocked by the weight! It is one HEAVY exhaust system! The akrapovic setup I have is really nice and well built, but I can say the same for half a dozen other SV exhaust systems out there. I think I paid a little over $600 for mine (ouch!) but it was well worth it even for a guy who has never ridden a track like me. I highly recommend swapping out the complete system rather than just the can, lots of weight in that tubing. --Dan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Erik Weber" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, March 10, 2006 12:40 PM Subject: Re: Cheapest horsepower Nah I haven't done anything. I don't want to go nuts, I just don't want to miss out on anything that can be done cheaply and/or easily. Sounds like exhaust would be step 1. Even that might be out of my price range for now. But I was just curious.
