have u tried the converter with with your desktop to see if it will connect
to scanner?  just to see if that setup will work?

Yes I tried to do that.  

I have used the software before on my desktop, but now I want to use it 
on my laptop.  

Laptop recognizes the usb converter, but ARC250 will not find scanner.






If you have come here to find out about the 250D you have come to the right
place! In fact the discussion of the BC-250D and how it works is the only
acceptable topic on this list. Any discussion about anything other than the
BC-250D is OFF TOPIC. I hope this is clear to all group members..
