Some other things to look at: Make sure you have the latest drivers for the usb converter Can you successfully connect to other devices through the usb/serial converter? Yes I tried to do that. I have used the software before on my desktop, but now I want to use it on my laptop. Laptop recognizes the usb converter, but ARC250 will not find scanner.
