I follow Suffolk and Nassau county Police and Fire Rescue. Most Fire
use low band 46.XX as there tone out and switch up to there own 400
mhz channels while some operate on the coounty operated 46.XX division
or batalion chanels. Suffolk PD is all trunked 800. The antenna seems
to work great for all. Also pick up FDNY 150 mzh frequcies well but
they all operate on some seriously powered repeaters in there which
can be picked up 35-40 miles away or further on a portable scanner
without anthing special.

If you have come here to find out about the 250D you have come to the right place! In fact the discussion of the BC-250D and how it works is the only acceptable topic on this list. Any discussion about anything other than the BC-250D is OFF TOPIC. I hope this is clear to all group members..
