Ok, were getting closer. I have managed to connect the scanner to my
desktop computer and the little devil came to life for a brief
second. I heard what I can only assume was a call by my local PD as
it mentions a local bank. I was only half done programing the scanner
and it has once again gone silent. A couple of ARC250 questions. For
a frequency of 868.875 what "mode" should I be in? It is in NFM now.
Should I go to FM? The step is set at "12.5". Should it be set
at "auto"? Those two parameters sort of set themselves up as I
programed in the frequencies. Also my frequency list includes a
control channel. The most obvious band is "Motorola Type 2 800mhz".
Does this sound correct? The "M" does appear before the channel
number so I think I got that right. Again thanks for any help. I will
attempt to attach a link to the site I found my frequencies. Brian
