Roger, thank you for the detailed instructions on setting up my scanner. Radio Reference doesn't appear to have Westerly police frequencies but I found them at another site. I noticed that I do not have the "Type 2 P25 UHF" option available only "Type 2 UHF". Is that correct for frequencies in the 800mhz bands? As I said before, I have never seen "P25" on the screen except at initial start-up and when enabling the card. I also find it amusing/frustrating that I can't seem to find a "review your set-up" screen to see that everything is as I think it should be. Hopefully the Butel software will fix this. One other question I had was when using the serial to USB adapter, does the unit become "plug and play" or do I need to shut the PC down when connecting the scanner. My next step if all else fails is to send the scanner to ScannerMaster and have them test and program it. That seems a little silly as this is the first scanner I haven't had any luck programing. I have an ICOM R10 and an ICOM R20 that were a challenge but I was able to program them. Thanks again and here's to hoping the ARC250 gets me on my way.
