Roger, where did you find that the RISCON system is 9600 baud? On Radio Reference it is listed as APCO p-25 standard. I don't know if that means 9600 or not. Would the BC996 be able to monitor the 9600 type bank? What are the advantages of the BC 396? Just curious. I also noticed and will investigate Radio References programing service. But if the BC250 can't monitor RISCON it's a moot point for me. Looks like my friend might not be the only one that needs a new scanner.
