Yep, the device manager had the USB locked out,,, now it is talking to the scanner..Now if I can only remember how to program it again.. lol going to be a problem.. Thank you so much for your help..

      Did the adapter come with an adapter ? If not contact the buyer and get one 

for it.

Then look in the Device Manager for the adapter.
