well, for us "offline users", somehow with the further addition of
privoxy and wwwoffle layers, something breaks for all yahoo/geocites
logins.  I guess I should research why, but while we are here, mainly
I'm wondering what might be in the protected parts of the site worth
protecting?  All I can think of is lists of email addresses that might
be spam harvested.

I've got caching proxy wwwoffle, and fancy banner, popup etc filter
privoxy turned on to make my brief "56K" experience smoother, here on
debian GNU/Linux.

It's er, flu season so I'm scared to go out.  Plus the cafes are many
kilometers downhill.

I suppose I could, um, try it without all the caching stuff... but of
course my point actually is if you move that good stuff into the
public zone, a lot more people will benefit, as many folks would just
click somewhere else when presented with the slightest obstacle, as
mentioned often in http://www.useit.com/alertbox/

Or maybe I forgot my yahoo passwd.  Anyways, I am only on the net 20
minutes a say, where I take snapshots of it with wwwoffle, noffle,
privoxy, and then sever the connection and read offline, though it
feels like I'm online.  Anyway, password checks [online] would break
my stride, plus scramble my GNU Free Software style principles... so
can you guys do a "Freedom of Information Act" job on whatever is
hiding there, removing the email addresses of those folks who don't
use spam filters yet, like spamassassin

and moving them to the public area.

Also think about: if search engines can't read it, then you are really
wasting your net bucks, as they say.  Though we aren't selling things,
we are trying to exchange ideas ... and "googlebot is your most

It would make my later browsing experience more pleasant too.  I mean
lets say I saved the files to disk, this would then be outside of my
the main cache, and thus not get indexed by htdig which runs each time
I hang up the dial up line... thus not in my offline seachable index
of pages browsed.
