program finds valid steps for given frequencies

I made a python program,
http://jidanni.org/comm/radio/programs/validstep that finds valid
steps for the given frequencies, e.g.
$ validstep 139.20875 .123 .720 144.44
139.20875:
no valid step
[5   ]between 139.20500 and 139.21000
[6.25]between 139.20625 and 139.21250

.123:
warning: below 0.495 ...
no valid step
[5   ]between 0.12000 and 0.12500
[6.25]between 0.11875 and 0.12500

.720:
   9

144.44:
  20
  10
   5
It works for the ICOM IC-R2, but can be made to work with others.
