Group, I noticed tonight that I had to push on the side of my R2's duck antenna to improve the signal strength. Knowing this was not normal, I took the R2 apart and re-soldered the center-pin's solder joint. Fortunately for me this solved my problem. Has anyone else had to do this? I carry this unit on my pocket every day at work. It has received a few knocks and drops. I use an SMA501 Comet, which is a rigid 2-inch antenna. Did it's lack of flexibility contribute to my problem? I'm going to order a Maldol MH-209 SMA antenna this week to replace the Comet. The Maldol is 3 inches and flexible. Any comments about these antennae or similar experiences are welcome. Happy scanning, Albert ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor ---------------------~--> Make Money Online Auctions!
