Re: the "VF" memory channel

In VFO mode, please
1. hold FUNC and tap V/M MW
2. hold FUNC and rotate knob until you see what looks like a VF in the
lower right corner, blinking.

Questions:
1. what are those letters? VF, MF, IVF, or what?
2. what can one do at this point? It seems this merely is the same
frequency as seen in the VFO. Is this just a reminder window showing
us what is in the VFO, so we don't have to exit out of memory store
mode if we forget?

25 weeks ago I asked something perhaps related:
