stations showing up at other frequencies

Sometimes some stations might appear on other frequencies.  For
instance, known 5000 or 10000 khz time stations showing up at ~280 Mhz.

Is there a formula to predict the exact frequency where the 5000 khz time
station might appear on the VHF band in the R2?  Is the calculation of
that frequency affected by the antenna we use or the weather, or do
they only affect if it will show up or not?

Is http://www.scannerway.8m.com/images.html what is going on, albeit
with different numbers?
