Hi Bob I am not sure how often the speacker jack was used. I have read the scanner and it appears like the person before me entered everthing manually. I only have this a few weeks and I am not sure of its history. I will get some contact cleaner and try that then. Also Mark suggested cleaning the touch pads. I will try spraying that also. Would or could I get into too much trouble taking it a part to see if the contacts are bent or if there is dirt behind the pads. I have contacted an Icom dealer about servicing it, and they suggested contacting IcomAmerica Thank you Bruce --- In [email protected], "Bob Parnass, AJ9S" <yahoo2@p...> wrote: > On Thursday 01 April 2004 02:46 pm, bruce wrote: > > I am in the USA, I purchased an IC R2 from the UK > > I am losing the volume at times, when I push the up and down for the > > volume, it doesn't always work. ... > > If you have used the earphone/cloning jack often, the jack > contacts may be intermittant.
