I wrote two messages about it back in nov 1999. But I belive I didn't gave any actual instructions. I can take a photo of the SQ mod and put in the photo section of the yahoogroup. Unsolder the board instead of removing the antenna connector, it's much easier and the connector wont come loose at a later stage. The actual mod it easy. It's only a wire you solder between two points. I had some thoughts about being able to turn the mod on/off from the attenuator function to save battery, and I still haven't assemblied my R2 properly waiting for this to be done. The R2 sometimes dies when the batteries doesn't make proper contact due to the R2 only being pres-fit together and the screws are lost somewhere in a drawer since three years back.
