Just a vague hope ...

When the keylock flashes, it usually means the 245 is in computer-control /
clone mode. Hold down the E key to clear it.

However, I've never seen the channel number flash in sympathy or had the
scanner lock on the receive.

It's worth trying the E key though. Maybe it's a couple of things.

Also, from a quick Google search:

>>on, to re-set the radio, or is there some other solution.

Of course if you do this you will lose all memory in the radio
and need to reprogram...

Subject: [BC245XLT] Scanner is Locked Up

I am experiencing a problem that I have never seen before with my scanner.
When I turn it on the channel number indicator and the key lock icon flash
simultaneously and nothing that I have tried will get it to release. The
scanner will then lock on the first channel that it receives traffic on and
will not release from that channel.

I know that there is a combination of keys that can be pressed to reset the
scanner, but I just can't remember what that combination of keys is. I am
willing to reprogram all the channels I have in the scanner to get it to
reset if necessary.

Please advise.

Thanks,
Marc Melane
