 It is type 2, and I have used it before and then I got the BC246T and
I gave the 245 to my grandmother and when i tried to program it it
would not work.  I used the same info as i did for the bc246.
Everything goes in fine, but as soon as I hit scan or search it does
nothing and i see the frequencies scanning but its all quite and it
does not stop on the control channels at all.
