When I first got my 245xlt and saw in the handbook how you were supposed to hook the scanner up to an external modem and logon to some site and download frequencies by zipcode, at that moment I decided to program by hand. Look up what you need in "radioreference.com" and program that in.Who knows what all comes in for you zip code and if you even can use all of it. I you can't find your handbook, you can probably download itfrom the uniden website. Over the yeas I have lost my programming cble for my 245xlt anyway, but I can't really remembr if there really was a programming cable. Uniden doesn't sell replacements, so if you have yours, guard it. By-hand programming of a 245xlt is certainly easier than a 246t. --- On Fri, 6/12/09, denid05 <denid05-/[email protected]> wrote: > From: denid05 <denid05-/[email protected]> > Subject: [BC245XLT] exporting frequencies to scanner > To: [email protected] > Date: Friday, June 12, 2009, 8:02 PM > I have a 245xlt that I havn't used in > years which had frequencies from another state programed > into it.
