Software to control scanner

It has been awhile since I have used this scanner and am once again getting
back into scanning.  It has been years since I used this scanner and I can
no longer remember the name of the software that I used to control the
scanner.   I searched the web and tried to wade through all the options but
was unable to determine which software packages were worth speding any time
(or money) upon.   So, I thought I would ask this group.  What software
packages work well with this scanner?  Which supports it the best?
Ultimately, what software would you recommend?  :-)
