I haven't seen this particular connector anywhere else.

As well as this, I think there would be level converters in the computer
plug.

Best bet would be to buy a real cable.  I think most people tend to buy them
and have them mailed.  Haven't needed to do it myself, but I suspect you can
get them from Uniden.
