Hi Tom,

You cannot change the com port on the actual scanner, you need to change 
it on your computer.

If you're using Windows 7, then follow these instructions.
Press WindowsKey + R.
Enter devmgmt.msc and press enter. This brings up the device manager.
Expand the Ports branch.
Double click your comport. it might be called USB to Serial or something 
similar.
Click the Port Settings Tab.
Click the Advanced button.
You can change the Com Port number from this dialogue.
