Thanks Don, I will definitely check out that model also.. I hate when I ha=
ve to get something new because I don=E2=80=99t want to spend a million hou=
rs stressing over what to buy! so if you guys are having luck with these t=
wo, I will check them out =E2=80=93 and for sure I first have to find out i=
f my state police are encrypted. I did not see that on the RR pages where t=
hey described the new system, but I=E2=80=99ll make sure I contact someone =
who is receiving it..=20

Yes, I have =E2=80=9Cheard=E2=80=9D that I could listen to an app on my pho=
ne that is really some VERY nice guy like you doing all the leg work and th=
en broadcasting it somehow for me! I see the scanner radio pro that one of=
you mentioned, I will check it out for sure..=20

My town is an old low band =E2=80=93 so I can get that on any of the other =
scanners I already have =E2=80=93 but I really want the state police.. I al=
so really want a big antenna so I can hear the ambulance transmissions, but=
I can=E2=80=99t see mounting one on my house. I bought several bigger indo=
or ones, but no luck.. I needed that repeater and it actually got programme=
d off by accident, but that was probably almost 10 years ago, and I=E2=80=
=99m sure they=E2=80=99re just as happy now!

Thanks a million guys =E2=80=93 you are really saving me from hours and hou=
rs of research..=20

If you can hear your town on computer through one of the apps it isn't encr=
ypyed, but what comes through an app is what some good guy kindly mounted f=
rom his own equipment to share with us. Download a scanner app and see if y=
ou want to take that big step up to a digital scanner.

If you have a Smartphone there is an App called Scanner Radio Pro which all=
ows you to listen via your phone.

Another option is to listen to your police via online services. There are=
many people who have already paid for the equipment to listen to police an=
d other agencies and then broadcast it onto the Internet.

  Take a look at: www.dxzone.com
