To receive digital you will need a BCD396XT handheld, BCD996XT base/mo= bile, Home Patrol 1, or their just becoming available BCD436HP handheld or = BCD546HP base mobile, or a scanner from another manufacturer which is capab= le of decoding digital transmissions. In general a Uniden scanner capable of decoding digital transmissions will = have a D in the model number. That=E2=80=99s what=E2=80=99s listed in the =E2=80=9CType= =E2=80=9D column on RadioReference, where other systems say Motorola or EDA= CS.
