Hit menu, then 2, enter the channel number that the freq is on & hit E (Enter). Then hit 3 for Tone Data, then hit 1 for CTCSS, then arrow up or down to pick the propper CTCSS (PL) tone. Hit enter when you find the right code. Now you should only hear that freq with that tone only.
