Re: CTCSS/DCS Not working

Hi Kevin,

So, have you gone into SYSTEM, Option #9 and set Option #2 TONE SQ on? 
If not, the PL/DCS will not work even though you can program a PL/DCS 
tone for a channel.

If that still doesn't help you want to try doing a full reset although I 
believe this only dumps the memories and does nothing to the CPU: press 
and hold 2, 9, manual, then turn power on.

If you are trying to say that the PL icon never comes on you may have a 
bad display. The PL/DCS function should still work though in that case. 
So does the BC780 display any tone data on the display regardless of the 
icon?

Cloning to my knowledge only transfers bank and channel data.

Uniden may still have copies of the owner's manual on their website but 
they are .pdf format.
