I believe "re-banding" actually means moving to the 700 mHz frequencies. Changing the 800 mHz frequencies around must be for some conflict or problem in the system. If you are in Control Channel mode you should be able to receive everything OK as long as you are near enough to hear the control channels. You might try the Uniden web site to see if there is a manual available for your BC16. You'll need to find out the new freq's and program them in. The Radio Reference web site may already have them.
