Hi Gerry, That usually means you have a problem with the serial connection. Make sure you have the right port, etc. I'm not sure if you are using a USB to serial converter. Some of them do not work for radio stuff. I just downloaded v6.2. Works OK. Also AFAIK the UBC is just an unblocked version of the BC780xlt. There is a form on the Proscan website or you could contact Bob Aune, the author of ProScan.
