IF Frequency for Uniden radios

Can anyone help me?

I'd like to try an experiment with my BC785 and an Icom R8500.

The Icom has a 10.7 MHz IF output on the back. I'm wondering if I can
tap into the IF on the BC785 and use it as a decoder.

If anyone is asking why?  The R8500 is a superior receiver and doesn't
have the intermod problems that he BC785 has with a hot antenna.
