Scanner Program - USB??

Hello everyone.  I have searched this group and did not locate the 
answer to my question so here it goes....

I have a few bc786d's and a 796d.  I purchased the ARC250 Pro and have 
been unable to use it due to all my PC's having USB ports only.  
My question is, has anyone been able to use any converters that will 
accept USB connections in order to program these rigs?  I was 
surprised to read that the software suppliers add that they are not 
responsible for damage caused by the use of USB's......

If you have come here to find out about the 785D you have come to the right place! In fact the discussion of the BC-785D and how it works is the only acceptable topic on this list. Any discussion about anything other than the BC-785D is OFF TOPIC. I hope this is clear to all group members..
