Dave,

The problem is NOT that the 785 will not receive the frequencies in the 851 - 854 MHz portion of the band.

The problem is that a Motorola control channel assigns the frequency for a talkgroup in use by a channel number, rather than the actual frequency.

The newer splinter frequencies in the 851 - 854 segment have channel numbers that the 785 will not recognize when reading the control data.

The control data for an EDACS system identifies the actual frequency, which is why EDACS systems were not impacted by rebanding.

I presume the 785 would still be able to follow a rebanded Motorola trunked site if none of the frequencies used at the site are splinter frequencies ... frequencies ending with a "0" in the fourth digit to the right of the decimal point.
