leaving channels early

Anyone else have the following problem:
 
Programmed my 785 via computer a few years back. I have it in the car.  
Seems on some channels that are "delayed" will start scanning again in the  
middle of a sentence. Have checked power connections--antenna etc but can't 
find  a problem there ;-(
