Your comment on the cheap chinese mics has piqued my interest. I just
finished repairing an FT100 I got on ebay. It came without a mic so I
got one of the cheap chinese mics also on ebay. I get my 100 watts on
CW, but anything to do with the mic; AM/FM key down (no mod) I get a
chattering T/R relay and on SSB I get the same chatter on voice peaks.
Microphone or should I be looking elsewhere. It's not an SWR problem, I
get it going into an antenna, dummy load or service monitor.

Vince.
