Large Remote display using Arduino

Folks
 Has anyone put together a remote display using Arduino controller?  I saw one developed for the 857 on a website and wondered if anyone had done the same for the FT-100.  The one for the 857 pulled the data from the CAT interface. As this is right on the bleeding edge of my abilities, I was hoping someone smarter than I had done the heaving lifting first.
