As it turned out I had not plugged in a FPC correctly - J7001 small one in middle top edge of control PCB. Goes to Local Unit. Once that was corrected the rig RX great & transmits OK on HF, but U/V no go. Next job is to replace blown U/V PA. Like I said, for US$255 it was a good deal so I'm not really thinking I got screwed as such. I only purchased the rig to see if I could make a version of CatDisplay for it. So if Cat port is working, I'll be more than happy :-)  73s de chris zl1cvd.
