All I want is......

Let me start by saying that I know this topic has been discussed, but with work and 3 kids I have very limited research time. (actually at work now) 
 

 What I would like Is to see what options are available after hooking the radio to the computer. 
 

 What I would like, at a minimum, is to simply see the spectrum on the screen, so I can tell what freq is being used, without spinning the dial. This may be more of an SDR connection that is needed. 
 

 I see the CT-62 CAT cable. But Im not sure what I gain from that. Seems like it is compatible with the HRD software, But is it compatible with windows 10? 
 

 Any thoughts or experience gained would be helpful.
