VInce. This is going to sound like the simplest and dumbest answer, But I have a knockoff mic, the faceplate has been glued on since the previous owner broke the clips off. Occasionally the mic will not xmit either. Light stays green, still in RX mode etc. If I gently tug or push on the cord, it finds a sweet spot, and im off to the races. Once I get it set, it generally holds. But essentially, I wiggle it, till it works........Hold the key down while you move it around,,, see if you get a click.
Sorry thats not too science-ie of an answer!!!! We are amateurs after all!!!!!

1K is too much. The mic uses a 22K. When I had the wrong mic on mine
it was too small a value and it didn't work. I swapped out the resistor
in it for a 22K and it works great.
