A good friend of mine always has to have the biggest, fanciest, newest,
wizbang, rig available. A while back his HF rig died so i loaned him my
little FT100. He's also big on HF nets. Every net he checked into he got
huge compliments on how good he sounded compared to regular.
Of course I had to gloat a little bit. What else are friends for.
Don't sell that little rig short.
Mine is box stock. No one has tinkered with the insides other than the
necessary mods. I only run the power about 70% [ don't want to stress
the finals any more than necessary ].
