Re: Flashing LCD

   Hi.  WHat mode is your VR-500 in when it flashes? Does it flash in 
all modes?
   I presently have one at Yaesu in CA for a similar problem. When I 
try to scan user-programmed memory banks, the radio will lock up and 
the display flashes on and off. The only remedy so far is to shut the 
radio off, turn it back on and stay away from scanning the memory 
banks. In manual mode, it works well. I just won't scan. 
   Keep us informed about yours and  I'll post something about mine as
